Pray You Ain't in the Prologue

I started reading the fifth ASOIAF (Game of Thrones) book today, and the POV character in the prologue died, just like every other POV character from all the other prologues. I thought the character was Bran for awhile because he was a warg, too, but it turned out to be someone else. I thought he would actually live for awhile, but then the white walkers came. I was pretty surprised by the way he died. I figured he'd be killed by the white walkers, but I thought it'd be directly rather than them killing someone while he fought for possession of her body. The empty eye sockets glowing blue was some really amazing imagery. I was amazed by how I started to become interested in this character in a single prologue chapter. Luckily, I've been a fan for long enough to know to never get attached to the 1st person character from the prologue. Those are used to catch us up on what certain groups are doing who we haven't seen very much of, and it's always from the perspective of whoever they don't like. I was pretty surprised when I learned the wildlings were being hunted down by the wights, because after they were crushed by Stannis's army, I never really thought about what happened to them. I guess this was the only possible outcome. I was pretty interested by Varamyr's backstory, because it gave some more insight into wargs, skinchangers and just wildlings in general. Also, Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) is back. WOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really love Tyrion.
